About Me

I had the good sense to get out of any place that has snow and live in beautiful Phoenix, Arizona. (I can't afford to live in Scottsdale.) I am married to a wonderful, patient, kind, loving, and intelligent man whom I adore and who adores me. He’s the eternal optimist and I’m the eternal pessimist, so we have all the bases covered.

Our children are all grown and our five grandchildren are providing our revenge on them. We share our home with a formerly feral, stray cat named Vampira and a teddy bear of a puppy dog named Eliza who both provide hours of entertainment for us.

My favorite store is Home Depot where I spend my weekends gathering up the supplies for doing home improvement projects. I am the handy man in our household and my husband is the cook. We spend most of our off work hours at home because there is nowhere else we would rather be.

I smoke, drink, and have been known to use foul language. I don’t belong to any organized religion and consider myself a “recovering Catholic.” I am a registered Republican who is socially moderate and fiscally conservative.

I love to laugh, read, and write. I am not a journalist or a political analyst. I am a hardworking American who has a lot of opinions and common sense. There you have it. Enough about me, enjoy the site!
